That's good to know. Is it a bit more realistic than COD (single player)? COD was usually way too hectic, I never really liked how 1 guy was expected to take down hundreds of bad dudes in every level.

 

It's WAAAAAY more realistic than COD. The only thing unrealistic is how your core teammates don't get killed (but then the game would be unplayable). That said, you have to bring your A game or get smoked. Several maps took me multiple tries to make it out alive.

Chris, thoughts on MP now that you've played it more?

 

Now that I've sorted out the maps and HOW to play MP, it's more enjoyable. If you're a run-and-gun sort of dude, prepare for a LONG day. It's a sniper's paradise (or a camper if you're Jon). Personally, I am still digging out my favorite spots for cross-map kills. Camping works, but gets you diminished skill points. Now that I've unlocked the suppressor, red dot and extra mags for the M4/AKSU-74, I'm good to go. I do want to unlock the next rifleman level which will get me the SAW.

Quick and dirty ranking/unlock tutorial:

3 classes - Rifleman (M16A4 or AK-47 for OPFOR), Spec Ops, Sniper
In each class, scoring X number of points unlocks the next level (only 14 levels IIRC)
Each unlock gives you a new attachment or a new weapon
As you rank up, you can also change character skins to reflect your elite status
To rank up in the higher levels it takes a LONG time
You can be very effective once you're at level 4 or 5 (which takes about 3 hours or so online)
Grenade launchers are useless - you have to HIT the other player
Rocket launchers and grenades ARE effective
