For my mom, I gave up on the whole cell phone thing years ago (thank god) and am currently rocking a $100 Nokia wich has served me pretty well. So I'm kinda out of the loop on what's hot and wich brands are decent. Requirement #1 is that it's a solid phone because my mom will break it. The past year she had some all weather type Nokia thing wich the salesperson promised would never break. Well it did after 3 months. Can't have an iPhone because there aren't any carriers here who support one (in Europe). Not looking for a 1k phone, just something decent. Don't prefer any particular brands either, she's been using Nokia for ever but claims she's ready for a change. Can't think of any trick features wich are a necessity; basically if it's on the phone: sweet, if not don't really care. I realise this is all rather general and unspecific but I'd like to see what you come up with. I'm in the middle of my exams so don't have time to go browsing through all the tech sites, we'll probably be buying one this weekend.
