So, the car arrived back from Bahrain....and as it was waiting on the tarmac to be loaded for the flight back, a sandstorm whipped up with the result below. Luckily, the shipping company had the foresight to insure that no one covered the car during the rest of the trip, and no sand was ground into the finish.
When it got home, I spent the better part of a day going over it and getting it back to my usual snuff !
here are some pics on arrival back home

Actually it was. They informed me before the car shipped from Bahrain that a sandstorm had hit at the airport, and they no longer had access to the cars for security reasons. They kept me informed and assured me that the car was not going to be covered by anything it wasn't in the condition they usually do.
The car cleaned up perfect, no swirl marks or scratches....no damage en route....sandstorms cannot be controlled !
I recommend Bestlog.de wholeheartedly as the shipper of choice for overseas car transport.
