Well, that's certainly unique...

 

The F40 Barchetta, based on the F40 LM. This one was a factory prototype, eventually sold to Belgian Jean Beurlys. He contacted Tony Gillet(remember the Gillet Vertigo?) to modifie this F40. A few years ago the car was offered at an auction along with other cars of Beurlys, but the car was not sold. Since then the location of the car is unknown.

Ruined LM IMO

 

There are so many unmolested f40s out there that I don't know why a factory prototype LM was used. Are you sure it was a real LM? If it was then it's a shame.

 

That looks quite silly- plus it doesn't help structural rigidity.

 

Well, there is a story about this being not a real F40 but a fiberglass replica with an Alfa engine, but I doubt that.

 

Even if it was a real f40 but not a real LM would be fine with me.
