The onset of a 2.5 day job on this F-40, at a shop(brian crall company) there for exstensive maintenance.

As the car had been there quite a long time there was built up fall out on the entire car

The idea of "extended maintenance" on an F40 scares me though.

As the paint is thin on these cars(80's - 90's model year Ferrari's) I corrected SLOWLY, there was some marring but the majority of the time was spent to bring back clarity to the Lexan rear engine cover.





Some 50/50 pics as I was making big improvement.



There were a few deep RIDS that were not coming out.



Clarity restored.









As I could not wash the vehicle conventionally(had to stay in place in the shop) I used some Auto Glym wheel cleaner and my low pressure washer to rinse with purified water. Wheel before.



After, all cleaned up



Wiping off the LSP.

All finished.

 

DAMN!! pure CAR PORN! great job. One question why couldn't you move the car?

 

In the shop for maintenance that was not quite completed, thus I worked on the car in place.

 

Definitely a vehicle worthy of your talents. Amazing save on the lexan.
