The story behind this car is pretty interesting. I heard about some of the details a while back after he got rid of the car. I obviously don't feel comfortable commenting on it, but I'm sure when he feels like it, Jas will reveal the details. The story behind how Jas happened upon it always seemed sort of bizarre to me, introduced to the owner at a dinner party or something along those lines.

Anyway, it sucks to see someone like Jas get caught up in a mess like this. Hope everything turned out for the better.

More were made then that, over 400 is the actual number....

I looked it up this time. We split the difference. Exactly 349 examples were made and sold between 1995 and 1997.

Uh oh! I feel a Buyer's Guide coming on!!!

I don't think Jas is really "caught up" in it. He is not a named defendant and is most likely just acting out of an abundance of caution by not commenting on it. Legally, he is likely not involved at all.

^I didn't mean "caught up" legally...I'll let him comment on it further.

I hope the car gets fixed, despite the damage.

and he may have only been going 40, the damage looks like a lower speed crash and if he downshifted from say 4th to 1st and stepped on it, he could have easily lost control. My Z06 will get out of hand in that situation, let alone an F50. Or getting on after going through a puddle ect. It is possible not every fast car that crashes wasn't going 150mph

And it's possible a federal agent would drive a seized F50 responsibly...
