575 GTZ in SF Britsh Motor
Hello guys, this is my first post. I've seen lots of you guys from 6speed and ***. I've been surfing the 6, *** and TS for a long time. Feels like i know lots of you guys, although i've never posted anything.
Anyways, back to the 575 GTZ topic. I've seen one locally in San Francisco driving around the BMC dealership. I've talked to one of the guy at BMC, but he wouldnt tell me anymore info about it. its a silver one with white top, however i am not sure if it was a coupe or convertible. If i remember correctly zagato was planning on building a few convertible versions. Sorry no pictures.. wasnt anywhere close enough to the car to take a picture.

"Two reasons. Our company was formed in 1919 and there is some symmetry to making nine cars. I could have done one, maybe 19 like the Aston Martin DB4 GTZ, but 1919 cars was out of the question. I like the number nine.
Secondly under European law, nine is classified as a multiple of artwork. A painter can produce a piece of art and do nine multiples but they are legally considered to be nine one-offs. We're not just building cars here - we're building art"

i like that zagato actually built afew of these, rather than just one for show. pretty cool...thanks for the info. it looks like the pic of the one on the street with the AZ plate was taken in carmel...another reason to get up to pebble beach!
