Hi There,
My recently purchased 2002 575M Maranello has a deactivated Boomerang security system in it which I have been told cannot be re-activated because its been de-activated for too long (either that or they just don't want to here in Canada). The company that markets them is now selling a security system called LoJack which they claim is better and has its own power source.
They are recommending I bring the car in, remove the de-activated Boomerang, and install the LoJack. I am concerned about removing and re-installing panels, etc... which may cause annoying sounds and rattles, as the car feels and sounds so tight now.
Any advice?

 

Do you ever leave it outside for long periods of time? Do you have full coverage? Id leave it alone. If it gets stolen you'll get a new one

 

Unless your insurance company requires you to have one installed, I'd say leave it.

 

Ok thanks guys I kind of agree as I don't want to take a chance on a poor installation which would rattle and drive me nuts

 

I have full coverage and so far have not left it out for long periods of time.
