Wheel suggestions for California

I have a new California on order. Should be here in Feb/March.

I ordered the standard 19 inch wheels with the idea of replacing them with 20 inch diamond finish sport wheels from the 458 Italia (yes they fit, as the dealer swapped a set on an in for service vehicle). Well, the quote from the dealer is near 19k for the wheels, TPMs, valve stems. That is ridiculous.

So, I am asking for opinions on wheel (preferably 20 inch wheels) options for my incoming car.

My car is Grigio Silverstone. Would love something similar to the diamond finish appearance that comes on the 20 inch wheels for the Cali and Italia.

Thanks guys!

J

Okay. I understand there are powerful opinions regarding the Cali vs Italia. I love both, and mainly am getting the Cali now for 3 reasons:

1). I actually like the car.
2). My kids are 2 and 4, so there is no way I can take them anywhere right now in an Italia.
3). It gets me on the list for the 458 Spider 1.5 years from now.

I like the Italia 5 star/spoke wheels better than the ones from the Cali option list. That was the reasoning for the decision. I would never thought they would want 19k for them, and when I was told that I said thanks, but no thanks.

I was actually just looking at the pics of those wheels from WB. So, I am PM'ing Jon and seeing what kind of price, set up we can get. Keep suggestions coming and thanks!

You should never have to give detailed excuses for why you buy any car.

Once you pony up for a California, why moan about the price of the wheels?

A little baffling.

Well, not moaning. Was just showing how I came to my decision, as I had gone back and forth on this for some time.

I just cant see paying near 20k for wheels. I understand the rationale of your reply, as my wife doesn't understand paying 250k for a car!

However, knowing the roads here and the possibility of curb rash, I would rather pay 6-7k and not want to spill my guts the first little thing that happens to them.

Jeez. This is gonna be tough. However, I think that the first set are the ones I am leaning towards.

I like OEM wheels on Ferraris. But that's just me.

Good luck. You can't go wrong with a Cali. Amazing car!

I've always thought the wheel choice on the Cali was a bit weak. None of them really gel with the design.

However those ADV.1 rims shown above (in a more sensible size than 22") would look amazing on a Grigio car.

Don't forget - we want pics!
