Looking for used 599, a few q's

I am in the market for a used 599 and have a few questions.

What have been the differences from MY07 through today?

I've noticed a big price delta between '07 models and other years with similar mileage. Something wrong with '07s?

And what has reliability been on these cars? Possible to use as a daily driver?

Thanks.

Ever since they released the HGTE model the non HGTE's look dull with the outdated challenge rims.

I believe the 2007's didn't come standard with the ceramic brakes. There are a few different options you can get now as well but basically I think the Ceramic brakes are the main diff.

Also you can retrofit the HGTE package components on the pre-HGTE cars at the dealer, but I would just reccomend updating the wheels and an exhaust on a standard car as it usually ends up much cheeper with the similar performance

do you say that because that's what you prefer or is there a problem with the F1 transmission on the 599s or an '07 model year specifically?

Have you driven a 6 speed manual 599?

I am just curious because I spoke to one person that has, and he said it is a real bugger to get going off the line without stalling it.......this person & myself have both owned 575 6 speed manuals and he says the 599 manual is a completely different horse......

my fathers associate has one, ill email him. he raves about it though, never heard a complaint and he's an older gentlemen so i would imagine he would have mentioned a problematic gearbox. he went from a 550 to the 599.

Besides CCBs and an length of warranty, not much difference.
