So how many people do you guys think will hold on to theirs for a long time versus selling a year after the purchase? Is this going to be an instant classic or just "another" modern Ferrari?

I am talking second-hand after mark ups. Enzo was a $660K car, right?

No Carbon Fiber roof option? Guess I assumed it had one before I read through the specs...

I think the interior options would push me towards the GTO...

That's a very interesting question. I think the CGT looks better, and it might actually be a better value in the sense that it has a bespoke engine, chassis, etc and isn't just a tarted up version of any other P-Car. Plus, it'll be a loooong time before Porsche builds anything quite like it again.

On the other hand, the 599 is much rarer, probably just as fast, and more customizable to individual drivers tastes. In terms of driving dynamics, I bet they're pretty equal in regards to how fast each car can go around a track but they likely offer two completely different experiences. I would guess that the CGT drives more like an older, rawer, race car (Porsche 917, perhaps?) while the GTO drives like most modern race cars in that it uses technology to help the driver achieve the best times.

That being said, I think I'd rather have the GTO because of its exclusivity, options, and daily drivability.

Thats the key point - Ferrari knows their new target customers are guys in their late 30s and 40s who want to use the car as much for driving to work as for using on the track I personally like the CGT but it's not exactly easy to use in a City
