Ferrari buys F1 CAL plate
#1

The first Ferrari California to arrive in the UK will carry the registration plate F1 CAL, after the Italian firm bought it from the DVLA. The plate is possibly the perfect accompaniment to Ferrari’s first coupe-cabriolet, which should reach the UK in 2011.
Richard Gordon, regional manager for Ferrari North Europe Ltd, said: “We wanted the perfect registration to befit its desirability. “Thankfully, DVLA Personalised Registrations released its F-series last year and we worked hard to ensure we were able to secure F1 CAL – a registration that can only be described as ideal for our new car.”
Between October 2008 and February this year, Ferrari models were viewed 57,283 times on the DVLA Personalised Registration website’s gallery, which allows users to put their selected personalised registrations on a car of their choice.

Sad that there were no possibilites to CALI instead of CAL, but only three letters are possible.
They made a mistake claiming that first UK bound Californias will reach UK shores only in 2011. First deliveries are sheduled for this year's fall.
