Dude over on FChat commented that a top running GT1 team had fully developed and had financials in place to develop/ run a 599 but they didn't get approval from Ferrari...
I reckon the whole " test bed " thing is a load of hog wash used to lure people in, so they think " wow, im a test driver for Ferrari. "
