2007 Volkswagen GTI Correction

Completed recently, this car was done for Uber Porsche tech James @ Sharkwerks, new to him the car is a nice package with good power stock(Of course flashed by Alex for a "Little more') and a real sporty interior much like the R32.

Previous owner was not a "Car person" as it was in really bad shape which with this level of neglect due to plain " I don't care about my car" attitude, but the "Bones" of a good car were there.

As the vehicle came in......

New clay bar "Not so new anymore" tremendous amount of fallout & crust.

All the de-con steps completed(There were many...) finish finally stripped w/dawn /Mark V decon fallout remover/vinegar.

Initial 50/50's of the hood.

One of the biggest challenges of this job was the wafer thin clear, the readings tell the story.......

Deep marring on roof spoiler.

"B" pillars as bad as it can get.

Great correction was acheived.

Deep marring from a hedge or bush of some kind.

Low readings here as well.

After initial compounding....very carefully.

Marring on trim molding.

Corrected.

Lower rocker marred.

Clarity & gloss restored once again.

Front bumper was especially hammered.

Pitted bumper, but much more clarity now.

Drivers side "B" pillar before.

After.

Top of rear bumper looked "Just lovely", you have to hit the commercial car wash quite a few times to cause this kind of damage.

Much better, but the two long scratches were to deep for 100% correction out in the middle part of the bumper.

Deep marring on tailights.

Marring on "VW" trunk badge.

Much better now.

Severe hard water etch.

Making progress.

Before.

Same area with Mark V water spot remover applied(Multiple applications were needed).

After and before the glass was polished to a high clarity & gloss.

Right rear window was the most affected area.

After water spot removal & polishing.

LED pic of the passenger "B" pillar.

Interior was suprisingly clean, thus no before pics needed.

Badge denoting the rarity of the "Fahrenheit" package 870/1200 made.

"B" pillar and glass corrected nicely, was proud of this and wanted to get this right as Alex & James @ Sharkwerks have done alot for me and are the most honest "Tuning shop" shop I know of because integrity still matters......at least to me it does.
