2009 Cadillac CTS-V Correction

Just completed detail and correction, this vehicle took Richie(The Bing) and I approx 50 hours plus to complete!!. The amount of RIDS and dirt was incredyear old(daily driver btw) and mix in the tempramental clear coat hard paint suckness we had a battle on our hands(but obviously won).

Here is the car as it came to us with the "Bing" getting the car ready for the LONG wash and de-contamination process.

Just a little brake dust build up(because I get the easy cars.....:crylaugh:.

Exhaust tip hammeredness.

Wash time.

De-contamination complete, with no beading present any longer.

Here is what we had........ spots, RIDS, swirls the whole shamarita.

Time to remove the GM "chicklets"

Thank God we had healthy readings as rotary woolness would be part of the job for the next day and a half.

For a car that was only a year old it had some "issues" (understatement).

50/50 of the hood.

After buzzing the sanded area with a wool pad.

More wet sanding required.

Another lovely area was the front bumper that had been re-sprayed......badly.

50/50 pic of the "horror".

The "Bing" and I grinding thru in the wee hours of the night.

50/50 of the rear bumper.

More RIDS.

After MANY hours of paint correction, it was time to move along and remove the wheels.

Wheels were in dire need of clean up.

"Supercleaness" acheived.

These wheels were polished with a clear coat over them, Richie set about to correct the wheels.

After polishing.

Another thing we did was re-index the center cap to line up with the valve stem.

Re-indexed.

Richie mounting the wheels.

Clean wheel mounted and torqued properly.

The rubber seals were dried out and needed cleaning and dressing, cleaning the rubber.

50/50 of the cleaned rubber.

Interior pics.

Sun pic time.
