2003 Porsche X-50 Turbo Correction

Just completed recently, this car was in need of serious correction but the car was all there with a nice interior.

Here is the car upon arrival @ my shop.

Dry trim and built up dirt.

Initial condition of the engine.

The obligitory "Dirty clay pic".

After the thorough decontamination was completed, it was time for serious compounding and polishing. Here the hood is taped off for 50/50 pics.

This pic demonstrates just how bad the marring was.

Marring & RIDS.

Deep RID on the door which even with Trizact wet sanding I achevied only 90-95% correction after the micron readings started to get thin.

After compounding.

More 50/50 shots.

Marring on rear wing.

Corrected.

Turbo Correction cont....

Another area of the car that was a challengewas the trim, U.V. damaged especially around the moonroof and cowl.

Steaming the engine.

Dirty keyhole, steaming this area would be in order.

All better.........

With the wheels dismounted it was time to De-crust this area.

Cleaned up before dressing was applied.

Dressing liberally applied.

Rear wheel well before.

"Supercleaness" acheived.

Client provided lugs to replace the oldness.......

About this time I went to the airport to pick up "The Bing" who is out to help with the busy schedule, Richie cleaning the interior.

Precision licsense plate frame installation......

Remember the engine????

After.

The owner HAS to be a happy guy. Great work as usual. Care to share what you used to re-vitalize the UV damaged trim?

Like the job as always but the color match on the wheels with that color is a bit too much for my taste.

The car looks fantastic! I agree with the gray rims being a little much, but other than that, the car looks awesome. I have no idea how people are ok with cars getting that dirty, but thankfully we have you guys around to bring them back to life.

Eric, your new 996 looks awesome, except for those color matched rims. Time to step it up and get new wheels...Stop by the shop soon so I can take this thing for a spin.
