Not really a detailing question, per se, but I figure the pro detailing crowd might have some good insight into what's involved with a full color change.

I've been contemplating what to do with my 911 after a couple of years, but I really like this car. Do you guys know how much a FULL (inside doors, under the hood, door jambs, etc.) color change would hit me for? It'd be a non-metallic, classic Porsche color (some of you can guess what).

I'd probably also want to do a couple of bits of trim inside to match, but I figure that'll be minimal compared to the cost of the paint job. I'd want as good or better than OEM quality, color-sanded, etc.

How much am I looking at? Any good places you can suggest? I'd be willing to ship to/from to get done.

I don't know Chris, that could be a problem when you go to sell it. Unless of course you plan on keeping it forever!

 

But you're getting a GT3 RS . . .

 

Sell it and buy the color you really want. A full color change not done 100% correct can ruin the car forever.

If you want to modify get some MAcarbon stuff, the full techart kit looks superb.

 

It's not really a need to modify, there is a just a color I REALLY want. The only issue is that it'll be a special order only... Looks like I'll be waiting a couple of years and then ordering it.

 

What colour is it the flamboyant blue's or orange ? non metallic paint to sample ?
