Metropolitan Detail - Black Ferrari 308GTS

At first look, you may have seen a beautiful, shiny black Ferrari. 25 years or so later, is today, and this black Ferrari is no longer as shiny or beautiful as it once was. This ended up being a 3 full day project with about 20 hours of paint correction. By the first few pictures you can tell that scratches and swirls are all over the car.

The engine was thoroughly cleaned, and detailed among every square inch.

Paintwork was corrected using Menzerna's line of polishing compounds with the CCS polishing pads. As you can see, I also use a mini buffer to get in all the hard to reach areas on the car.

As you can see, we also removed all the grilles on the front bonnet and boot and all pieces were polished out by hand using Sea Power, truly the best metal polish I've ever found, and then finely polished with "metal".

Floormats being hand cleaned with Auto Glym. Here are a few after pictures, fully polished, and two coats of Vintage has been hand rubbed. The owner of the car could not recognize his car, and was completely speechless when he walked into our shop.

Thanks for reading.

PaPaHoFF is an unknown quantity at this point
What an improvement! not 100% swirl free but there is clearly an obvious difference. Paint looks like it was hard as there are lots of rids.

Lots and Lots of rids, paint was not 100% correctable, due to the poor condition of the paint, but quite a dramatic change.
