Tuning now possible on "locked" ZF8 Transmissions! (AL552/AL952 Gen 2)

A few years back VAG began releasing a new generation of their AL552 through AL952 ZF8HP Transmissions. In doing so, they locked out tuners with seemingly no solution on the horizon.
But not any more!
Any shop that owns an AutoTuner Tool can now flash this transmission.
This is big news for anyone looking for more power as a tuned ZF8HP can unlock higher torque limits, faster shifts, enabling of advanced features like Amax mode, launch control, auto up and down shift behavior, redline set-points, as many other drivability tweaks.
This is what we call a "Bench" flash where the tuner will connect directly to the transmission to upload their tuned file. Thankfully the transmission controller does not need to be removed during this process. They just connect with the ALx52 G2 harness and the AutoTuner Tool.
So, I'm sure you're now wondering, is AutoTuner delivering tunes for these cars? How do I get tuned?
We're a solutions provider for tuning business, and not the company selling calibrations/tunes. So this means anyone who owns an AutoTuner Tool, of which there are tens of thousands of shop world wide, can use the Tool to deliver their tune, or purchase and resell one from another calibrator.
Many have started doing so today with a heavy focus on custom features (essentially you choose exactly the behavior you want, and they make your the file specific to your needs.)
It's an exciting time for this these vehicles and I can't wait to see peoples fully tuned builds!
Have questions, like who is this Arin guy (I'm sure you recognize the name
)? What's AutoTuner all about? Well, let me know and I'm happy to answer! Thread
