Nevermind my earlier question about the weight. I didn't realize until now that the GTS was AWD and based on the 4S, instead of the S. Although, it is still heavier than the 4S by over 100lbs. Either way, you would think that Porsche would try to decrease the weight to make to make it more nimble.

I wish it was based on the S, RWD, and available with a manual gearbox. Now that would be fun to drive!

So guys M5 F10 or P GTS. I guess the big difference would be that I could get the M5 in a stick...

I made the same decision. Just cancelled my first on the list spot, and ordered the GTS. There were a lot of reasons, but the main one was I was looking for something that I would enjoy driving the most at 'normal' speeds. I think the GTS will be a 'more connected' drive. But if you get your thrills from longitudinal G's, the M5 is definitely the ticket. Should easily be the fastest 4-door on the highway.

the pics and the review itself is good, but it did not get me convinced of how great the GTS compared to the TT is claimed to be...

Thanks Wolverine, I am in a really weird spot. The Targa lease is coming due in 9 months. I not much of a leaser but the deal was too good to pass up let alone the fact that its been a blessing since having not 1 but 2 accidents since purchase - one rear end other parking lot SUV backed into my parked ride. I having been a huge fan of the M5 since the e39 and even went all the way to spain to drive the new F10 hanging out with similar minded fans. Its a faster car, a better car in every way and they are even releasing it in 6MT, literally a dream for me. But something is just stopping me from pulling the trigger and that thing is called a sports car/991.

Can't seem to justify getting an M5 and then never getting a 911 - I think I will go crazy. I use to say there always has to be an M5 in my driveway now I am thinking there always has to be a 911 (991). I am not in the mood right now (1st baby coming yadyad) to buy both an M5 and a 991. So been hearing about the wonderful new 335 also coming in MT as a great every day car and the 991 as the sporty fun one. This way I get my DD that I can pick up clients in and nobody makes a fuss about it being a "Porsche" etc. and keep my 991 for the fun days to and from the office where there is limited client interaction.

Its amazing how much attention the Cayenne already gets from all so the Panamera is a little too much; weird how common place BMW's are that customers don't say anything ...M5 or 335. I am sure you feel the same like you abandoned the brand after so many years of ownership (I can relate) but for some odd reason I am not lusting this M5, would have considered a 535 or 550 but they don't bring them in MT (in Canada) and still want to stick with that tranny until I grow out of it.

Congrats on the GTS and thanks for listening..

Joe

Same I was hoping they would at least bring the S in MT..
