I had a G500. I have sold several G55's, two of which were almost immediately traded due to the unruly stiff ride. Both were under 500 miles. One traded for a ML55, the other for a CTT. They are both great cars in their own right. I do not believe for a second the G55 can compete with the new CTT.

If you want the big burly off road, I can destroy, while making your neighbors wonder how cool you are, G55. If you want blow it out power and handling buy the CTT.

G55, image and ego. CTT, stealth and performance. No offense to anyone (Mean) I have driven them both extensively, just a mans opinion.

BTW I have a 2010 Jeep Rubicon 4 door. It's not a G55, but it's good. And the Nav is better than the G55's.

Cayenne Turbo is claiming 22+ MPG. TWENTY TWO MPG!!!!

My G55 in the past week, with mostly highway driving is averaging 11.7MPG. In traffic, same commute, 9.6MPG NINE POINT SIX!!!

I dont think anyone can dispute that Porsche wins hands down on gas concervation vs. performance.

In all honesty - with Gas heading to $8 a gallon - This Turbo Cayenne is looking pretty convincing to me.

Just drove one this afternoon again. I love it. Its so far beyond the G55 - but, the G55 is a classic and an icon. Its really unfair that I am comparing the two. If I had more space in the garage, I'd try to keep the G55 and get the CTT also - but if I'm only going to have 1 - i think the Cayenne is just so far superior to all other sporty SUV's (and even the not so sporty ones too) that it makes the car buying choice simple.

I really am impressed with Porsche. I am having a tough time thinking of another car to get. Looked at the RRSC - while beautiful and awesome, its awkward driving a bit and the fuel consumption is about 17mpg as claimed. To me, the Porsche wins again.

I'm thinking of Black/Black - full painted exterior package in Black, Turbo II wheels, Anthracite Birch interior wood, guards red dials and seat belts, sport and premium packages, running boards, thermally insulated glass.

One gripe - its annoying that Porsche give the great discount when you order the Sport package, but they put the crap steering wheel with the paddle shifters in. You can't replace the sport wheel with a wood multi-function wheel. You have to order the multi-function wheel as a separate part, thus eliminating the benefit of the package. ANNOYING! You should be able to put any damn steering wheel on the car you want with the sport package with some added cost. Even if you saved only $500 instead of $1500 that's be great!

Dont get the red gauges it stands out too much with that wood, keep it standard or otherwise I like the options you picked.
