Who likes their Cayenne Turbo?

Hi there -

Test drove the cayenne again and still thinking about trading my 09 G55 for an 11 Cayenne Turbo.

The new interior design is amazing - exterior is improved in my opinion. Driving - its like nothing else. Pretty much perfect.

How does the Cayenne hold up over time? I originally bought the G55 thinking I'd keep it for 5+ years. Built like a tank - classic styling etc.

Does the Cayenne hold up well? Little problems, squeaks, finish issues? DO Cayenne's last 5 to 7 years?

Any options that are a must have on the C Turbo? Anything to stay away from?

Thanks in advance!

Best,

asg

G class hold their values better than Cayennes for sure.
04' TT's can be had for less than $24K now.

That maybe true; but G's also don't stay together very well. G's hold their value simply b/c there are not many out there, nor produced. Two very diff vehicles and not an apples to apples comparison.

Not to mention the overall drive of a G, while I must admit I love the looks of them, they drive like shit.

Ps. I've also been with Mercedes for 9 years!

I have just collected my 2011 Cayenne Diesel which replaced my 2006 Cayenne S. They are incomparable - the new Cayenne is sublime (even the diesel).

https://teamspeed.com/forums/cayenne...my-stable.html

As I said in my post earlier today, I wouldn't normally talk about 'just' a Cayenne here on TS, but the new car is sooo good. In the UK, a new Cayenne has a 9 month waiting list now - which will help with residuals. I prefer it to the Range Rover, RRS, M-Class or G-Wagon (used to do all the marketing brochures for Merc in Stuttgart, so I've spent lots of time in both the G and ML).

Go for the Cayenne Turbo, you won't regret it.

^^ we're seeing similar waits for Cayenne's here. Great word "Sublime" for the Cayenne.

I don't own one myself but I really enjoyed driving the new CTT a couple of months back. It's amazing at what something that size can do.

I owned a 2008 CTT and a very close friend has the 2011 TT this is one phenomenal truck. I have several friends that have G55's and I have riden in/driven them they look good but they drive like crap and the interior even though updated still has the old skool electronics...
