I have a 2005 CTT w/ 75k miles. I love it. Reliability-wise, it's been great. I need to replace the coils and plugs, (but parts are inexpensive and it's a DIY job), it drinks oil, and the wiring harness for the headlights could have been designed better, but it's been a champ for me.

I bought it to replace an E60 M5, and it does great. My only real gripe is that the transmission is a bit slow to kick-down, which (when combined with a little turbo-lag) means that there's an appreciable lag between hitting the gas, and actually going. The handling is phenomenal, the ride is great, given the handling, and as a daily driver car for the real world, it's utterly fantastic (and overall more satisfying than the M5, which I loved). I can only imagine that the 2011 car is that much better. I do wish they'd put the PDK transmission in there, as opposed to a slushbox, but I understand that has a lot to do with towing (imagine what a hill-start pulling a boat would do to your teeny-tiny little PDK clutch...).

You're exactly right. PDK is light duty only my friend.

My uncle put almost 60k miles on his 05 CTTS in a little under two years. Never had a problem besides depreciation. Within the year he's planning on getting a new one. Just one hellava SUV.

I think the turbo would be a great daily. Neighbor has an S and it's pretty sweet, so I can only imagine turbo would be that much better...

I'm sure it's a repost, but this video would seem relevant to this thread if you haven't already seen it?

New Cayenne Turbo v 997 Carrera S around the Millbrook track (by Autocar). If you still need convincing, this should do the trick...

Pretty impressive. It does appear to be a truly remarkable vehicle. THanks for posting this.

Best,
