What is deal with Sand Yellow?

I ordered a sand yellow CTT and it arrived at the dealership 3 months ago. I bailed on taking delivery. Economy had me worried. To this day, the dealership has this Cayenne for sale and it is the ONLY Cayenne they now have. This is one of the top 3 dealerships in the USA. So why is noone buying the car color? Is it that bad? Yellow is a b*tch for resale

Yes. That's my opinion, anyway.

When I went to sell my yellow GT2, it was impossible. Noone wants yellow. I read on Autoblog that yellow is the worst selling color. Geez, I thought it looked pretty good.

It is very flamboyant for an SUV I guess, you tend to get bored of it quickly if your having it as a daily driver.

Really good point. Maybe that's why you can't get Guard's Red.

I've seen Guards red on the 955 Cayenne Titanium edition over time it looks bad, sort of sticks out a little too much. I wouldn't mind a Yellow 911 but on the Cayenne and Panamera I would stick to reserved colours so it doesn't stand out.

The 458 looks great in Yellow and so do most Lambo's, I think on the Porsche the resale for Yellow is just poor even though it looks fine, recall seeing alot of 996 Turbo's in Yellow at one point.

I would agree. They looked good at the start, but it didn't last long.

No, but you make a good point. Cayenne isn't that hot, but I haven't been looking. I think Porsche is doing a way better job of allocating cars at times to help in values to their customers. I had a meeting with the director of sales about that very topic about 2 years ago and how their business practices were messing with my investment in their product.
