Ordered a new Cayenne, but... (Changed to Panamera)

I don't know if I want the Turbo or the regular Cayenne S.

Delivery will be around October if I put my specs in now.

I don't really need the power for day to day driving. I'm even comtemplating the hybrid

I know the Turbo will lose half its value in 2 years (that a lot with our prices). I'm just not used to getting an in "betweener" car. Maybe it's just a sign I'm getting "mature"

What do you guys think?

I specced up my car and it will be $229,000 USD in the Turbo version and around $158,000 USD for a Cayenne S specced the same as the Turbo.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

PS. I'm not replacing the existing Cayenne Turbo (I can't get shit for it, so I'm driving till it's wheels fall off ).

Mike,

My .02 cents is that if its going to be a Daily Driver, i would jsut go with the S (or Hybrid)... the Turbo is a great car but you dont need the extra power cuz of your already powerful stable haha...

I say get the Cayenne S, and throw some TechArt goodies on it and call it a day.

As we all know it's easy to spend someone else's money. But since you have all your high HP cars and purely would use the cayenne as a DD, I'd save the extra cash and put it against another sports-car.

Agreed. Especially with that dramatic price difference.

Thanks Alex, your comments are appreciated. I also thought the S would be more practical. I have other stuff at home to go crazy fast Plus I don't lose as much when I resell the car.

Dear Mr. MikeS,

You own a bunch of SUPERcars, get the damn Turbo and quit playing with our emotions.

I would go with Turbo. I had a quick ride with new Turbo and it is a pure monster, definitely the best performance SUV money can get you. After your supercars, you feel the S too slow. But again if those saved $$$ will be useful getting you a Zonda after some time, than it is completely differenty story

Go with the S. 75K is a good chunk of cash and the new TUrbo is the same output as your current one. Lighter by 400lb granted but for a daily the S will be fine.

Mike, I'm a genuine fan of your collection and taste. But here's a basic question - why are you getting this car at all?
