General publics opinion on panamera
#31
I am not making fun of UBC all I said was my opinion on the maserati, he said his opinion on the panny. whats the big difference. sorry but people who are on car forums are not the people I was referring to about opinions on the car.

But your post title said that the thread would convey the "General Public's" opinion of the car. Then you cited one annecdotal experience.
I think it left us all a bit confused.
Cooler heads should prevail though.
Glad to have you on the team Tony.

^ That's why I bought it for $30K off sticker. I agree, you'd have to be crazy to buy one from the dealer.
I owned three Porsches, loved them all an was one of the biggest Porsche fanbois here. But by the time I got my Maser I was so sick of how boring they are. The 911 and, I imagine, the Panny are both highly competent cars. But they have no soul or excitement. That all being said, I could see myself in the next 928 if it winds up looking like the animations we have seen.

I was driving by the local Porsche dealer just the other day. BIG LETTER banner...$5000 off any Panamera plus 0% financing up to 60 months. You'd think they were selling KIAs.
So I stopped in. They had 12 in stock and the Salesman told me they are simply not moving. He predicts if things don't turn around soon VW/Porsche may discontinue the car altogether. He's been at the dealership 10 years and has never seen such a poor launch of a Porsche like the Panamera. BTW...it's the Largest Porsche dealership in Northern California. Plenty of money up here compared to most areas of the country. So the facts don't lie. For me personally I have never liked the look but to each his own. If you bought it enjoy it. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

I think I know why they aren't moving at his dealership.
