From enthusiast's point of view it is great information, brand is not diluted, Porsche is concentrated on building sports cars and supercars. But there are so many customers happy with their Cayennes, me for example, and there will be even more new customers since Panamera launch, especially in emerging markets, that I simply do not see a point of rejecting all this process which took many years of hard work.

Think of it this way: In a few years you'll probably be able to pick up Porsche-engineered sedans and SUV's at Volkswagen or Audi prices. They're not shutting any development down - they're just redirecting the results of it.

I am happy with the Cayenne as well, got a 06 S its been great to drive but the garage here sucks which is making my porsche experience not a good one. Good that they will axe the four door its expensive, would get a Maserati QP much cheaper as fast or faster than the Panamera S & 4S.
