I'd love to see a lightweight 356 successor to go up against the Elise. Small, rear engine, 4 cyl. turbo with a PDK transaxle and RWD. 200 hp, 2400 lbs., etc. It could be a BLAST of a little car and would help Porsche's CAFE.

let's look at it from a purely business standpoint. When Porsche was independant, the Cayenne was great for earning them a bunch of cash. Now that VW is behind them, they don't have to concentrate as much on making lots of money (which they do anyway, they have the highest margin out of any car manufacturer) as they do on making great cars.

The only reason I am saying this is because of Piech......the man is passionate and isn't too concerned about his sports cars and luxury cars making money i.e. Bugatti and the Phaeton

Bingo!!!!!! Ding Ding Ding!!!!!! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!!!

Cars have gotten so damn powerful and fast these days that we are all getting too comfortable with going crazy fast way too easily thanks to all of these electronic driver aids and silly amounts of HP. Driver involvement is what its all about.

I hope it's true, and I hope Porsche sticks to what it knows best.

As much as I like my Turbo, I'm still not shy to say I miss my S2000 The car was just a blast to drive, something along that line with a rev happy motor would be a blast..

I could get behind that, so much for the Panamera, however, I've stated my case for the Cayenne.

I'm honestly happy to hear this. I hate the Panamera (nice interior and all) so I'm glad it's getting the axe.
