not everyone can afford a P-car,so those who can and want to will eventually set themselves apart from all the other billions of MBs,BMWs and Audi family haulers.
not that I would like to do that by choosing a specific brand,as I try to be different by modding cars,but generally spoken people will of course pay money for the image of the brand and the exclusivity factor.
