Horrifying Panamera Prices

The first picture in the post looked really nice! Then I saw the pic from the back
Wtf happened there?
What does impress me, is how such a big car can accelerate to 100km/h in 4s flat (the tt model)!!! That is just nuts!

So, let's review:
Motherfugly exterior.
Gimmicky furthest-thing-ever-from-an-instant-classic interior.
Not enough power.
Probably easier aftermarket power addition for the turbo.
Probably better handling/braking/steering than the M5, almost certainly better than the AMG variants.
At best, parity in interior material quality.
Almost certain mechanical gremlins for the first year or two.
Premium-priced.
I'm the exact demographic Porsche were targeting with this vehicle, former 911 drivers who switched brands when we had kids, and got an M5. I *really* wanted to like the Panamera. If it looked less ass-like, and the was priced at parity with an M5, I'd buy it in a heartbeat over the M5, and so would everyone else who could scrape together 90k.
As it is, I can't see this being anything other than a massive failure for Porsche, at least in North America.

Did anybody else get the new CAR AND DRIVER yesterday?
they test it and list the price starting at $89k for the S and $133k for the Turbo
didn't read the article yet but looked to be a great issue.

When the Panamera V6 eventually comes out, it is going to steal too much sales from Mercedes, BMW and Audi.
If I'm shopping for a performance sedan and don't need 5 seats, Panamera S and Turbo will be very high on the short list. Its performance is going to overshadow its inadequate look.
