Cayenne Decision - advice needed
#22
Have droven all Cayenne range and must admit that I will trade my S only for GTS it is superrb and sporty, I prefer GTS even to Turbo S. 21 sport plus wheels is a great choice also and do not care much about camera or park assist, Cayenne is not so big and is very easy to park. My advice would be to get GTS.

I have a CTT but still vote for GTS here as I think it is a better value and fast enough for most people.
However I disagree with the above comment of GTS being a better car than a Turbo. Turbo has everything that a GTS has and almost 100 more horsepower. Any Turbo owners can easily afford 21 or 22" wheels, as are the side skirts and exhaust, and these things don't contribute to a better car anyway. There is nothing that a GTS can do to make up for the hp difference.
The GTS is a better value, thats for sure. But no way a better car.

Now lease vs. buy - I've only heard one or two opinions on that one - thoughts please?

Everyone, thanks for your input. In the end, I decided to go with the new TTS Lava Grey - was probably a waste of money but got $20k off $139k MSRP so just went for it. I also went stealth mode by removing the Turbo S and centering the Cayenne -- so those who must read to know the model type will think it's just an overoptioned V6 Cayenne!

She had the misfortune to ask my opinion. I understand this may be hard to believe, so since I'm going out to New Mexico for business next week I'll post a pic of her GTS. Trust me she's the fastest grandma in Santa Fe, NM. Plus, she got a great deal as I got mine from the same dealer just weeks before.
In the end, these cars are sporty people carriers, they'll never be sports cars no matter how much power they have. I drove a Turbo and a Turbo S (though after my purchase so there may have been some bias) and I think that the GTS was the most fun. However, I know a guy who optioned a TurboS w/the suspension from a GTS and that thing is definitely badass, but in the end its still an SUV with a huge gas bill.
I see you got the TTS, what wheels did you get? I love the Sport Plus 21"s, in my mind there are few better wheels for this car. The only change is that I'd like to powder coat mine grey, b/c I love dark grey wheel on blacks cars.

I also agree with your stmts on GTS vs. the turbos -- I just needed to get it out of my system and stop thinking about it. :-)
