If you want custom installation escort 9500ci all the way.

I have done caravn to and from HPDE's to experience how much more superior the V1 is to the Escorts, never mind the Bel's.

The Escort guys usually ditch theirs after one caravan with us. Not knowing which direction and how far away is worthless. With the V1, if the signal is getting weaker and pointed behind, we didn't bother slowing down, that usually makes the Escort guys believers.

Not sure what's a fair asking price just yet... I ran the serial number to make sure it's still current-

9500 uses GPS to identify false alert areas that YOU program on the fly. It is brilliant, and once you have taught the unit your daily routes you can pay attention only to the alerts that matter. I have the 9500 and I love it. My brother has the V1, and he loves the arrows. IMHO the V1 is a little too talkative, and in his opinion, the arrows are a must. Both are excellent choices.

I have a valentine one in my LP640. It is a great unit but I have an escort 9500ci in my S65 and it performs much better in my opinion.

I ran the valentine 1 and a bel rx65 in the lambo at the same time and the bel had less false alarms.

V1 can be hacked to get rid of the false alarms, but it makes you vulnerable in small towns that use dated radar.

Had a V1, but it goes off every second. Catches all cop bands and every false alarm as well. You'll get sick of hearing it go off every time. Even when there isn't a cop around. But I can say I never got a ticket with one.

I have also used a Escort 9500ix (actually have a light pre-owned one for sale if interested), and it doesn't give a lot of false alarms. It works when it has too. The GPS tech on it is pretty impressive as it knows where the speed traps and red light cameras are. It will even tell you how fast you are going when a warning goes off.

Now I have upgraded to the stealth K40 systems in my cars, works just as well as the Escort 9500ix with few false alarms, but is missing the GPS.

Haven't gotten a ticket with any of these systems, so I can say they all work well in their respective ways.

smiler51 is an unknown quantity at this point
For maximum sensitivity and warning distance go with a V1; however, it has loads of false alarms. Second best is a 9500IX in my opinion. The fixed installation ones are quite a bit steeper in price.

I would get a laser scrambler as well.
