Porsche Boxster Facelift set to Spawn an RS Variant?
Our spy photographer has been patiently sitting on the hill at the side of Nurburgring waiting to see if any of the world's latest prototypes will come bursting round the track. Of course the highly informed professionals knew they didn't have long to wait, these latest shots caught show a rather peculiar looking Porsche Boxster.
It is easy to identify the Boxster is the next model to receive the 911 facelift detailing, the revised bumper, headlights and taillights draw evidence to this fact. But what we are most interested in is that large fixed rear wing poking out the backside, we normally see a small retractable version on this model series. This interesting detail leads us to believe this model could be a prototype for the Boxster RS and forces us to search for more evidence.
The fixed roof featuring a plastic rear window evidently suggests this model wants to reduce weight and the new wheels and carbon ceramic brakes also add fuel to the fire.
The lack of disguise suggests this model is getting close to the end of its development period and with the Paris Motor Show just around the corner, it shouldn't be too long before full official details come out.

PCCB's are available one the 987S... but the biggest giveaways would have to be the cage inside, the GT3 (996 variant) seats, and lowered stance... should be interesting although... i wonder if we will ever see it over here?
