First week with the Spyder has cemented my decision to buy one. Drives so well, fabulous balance of power and performance.

Had a couple of messages regarding my ex-Magnus Walker 1966 911 SWB, so I've enclosed a pic as requested...

 

Spyder and 911 SWB are separated by 44 years, but they look so right together. In my opinion, of course...

Beautiful! Love the 911. How did you manage to find one of Magnus Walker's 911's?? Love that guy's work and attitude towards everything.

 

Lucky find. A reputable classic Porsche racer and dealer here in the UK, Robert Barrie, had spotted the car in the United States and thought it would be a good idea to bring the car to the UK. This was just before the Urban Outlaw phenomenon and MW's work was relatively unknown on this side of the pond. I knew about him though and made the purchase as soon as I knew about it! It's now going to be featured (with my Spyder) in GT Porsche Magazine and it's being shown at Classics At The Castle later this year too...

Don't worry, that's cool. I love my Spyder, but it doesn't have the same emotional pull that my 911 SWB has - its easy to drift off subject!

 

Took my Spyder for its first proper outing last weekend... 10 cars in our convoy, we made our way to North Wales, staying at the Groes Inn. EVO Triangle and Llanberis Pass being some of the main roads. Bloody cold, but so much fun. Car handled superbly, especially considering some of the company it was keeping...

 

The Spyder with 458 Italia and a rather nice 997.1 Carrera S that had some interesting modifications...
