The only thing they came back and said they wouldnt do is the stitching on the seats, everything else was fine.

The stitching is supposed to be riviera blue, and there isnt another name for it that Ive seen. I ordered riviera blue stitching and its very close.

On that note, I somewhat feel bad that it seems Porsche allowed me to do some stuff that others havent been able to do. I helped BudRichard out I think, but if anyone else has any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks
Hello Graham,

I have heard back from other folks that have custom ordered 981's recently here in the US and it appears as though 'Porsche Exclusive' is allowing others to do exactly what they did for you! You should not feel bad at all since they are getting the same treatment as you! There is a gentleman from Idaho that has ordered a PTS 'Mexico Blue' 981S with deviated stitching in 'Mexico Blue' (or the like) on the dash and top of door panels. Like you, he couldn't get the deviated stitching on his seats! He will be getting his vehicle in early this Spring.

From what 'BudRichard' has now told me, he actually never spoked to Sascha, Melissa or any other 'Porsche Exclusive' staff in Germany during his ordering process! He relied solely on what his dealership told him that they had heard from 'Porsche Exclusive', which he incorrectly posted as 'Sascha says'. The lesson here for all is that when it comes to custom-ordering any Porsche, you need to verify personally with a representative of 'Porsche Exclusive' in the US or Germany to check for yourself what you want can, or can not, be done! Most dealers know very little about 'Porsche Exclusive' and many don't like the potential headaches that come from such an order! So caveat emptor!

I have followed closely the 'Riviera Blue' '12 Spyder that originated with Walter's in Riverside, CA. We sometimes hear from its present owner (the fellow you sold it to) in Pennsylvania over at Rennlist. He is still thrilled with his 'unique' car. Hope you enjoy your new PTS 'Riviera Blue' 981S as well! Once you have time to put the 981S through its paces, please post a review and compare it the handling & feel of your old '12 Spyder! I have attached a photo of that car to make you feel a little bit nostalgic about it! More photos of that car at link below:

Riviera Blue PTS

Saludos,
Eduardo

Got the car home today, my brother was kind enough to trailer it over for me. Thought this was a good picture though, not a bad combination

I have a '13 Boxster too and really enjoy the car (I use on a daily basis). Just a great street
car that impresses on all levels.

Review when you have the time.

In other words, leather door handles are available only if you order 'partly leather interior'. Am I correct ? So, how did you get full leather interior with stitched leather door handles ?
Great question, and I apologize but I dont really have an answer haha. I ordered full leather but not sure how I got something the configuration doesn't show it. The stitching I had to fight for, lucky I got it by the sounds of it.

POLTV is an unknown quantity at this point
Thank you, and I have another question regarding the doors: again, in Full Leather Interior your doors should have this big long meta/shiny strip - above door handles (stock door trim option with full leather interior). But, your doors have this strip in leather. Did you specifically ask Porsche for this strip in leather (chose option) OR, again, it "somehow" turned out to be in leather ? Because, I think that if you did not ask for it, this strip should stay metal/shiny by default.
And, please, post some more nice (and, please, of much better quality) pictures of your car - outside and inside. Rare car, indeed. Thank you !
