Official: 2013 Porsche Cayman Revealed

It seems as if Porsche decided to raise the roof and stretch the rear hatch further backwards. Moreover, they seem to have enlarged the rear window. In my opinion, this makes the car seem fat and disproportional from some angles. I much preferred the old roofline. Moreover, from the rear it looks way too high on its heels. The Cayman R is still the best looking Cayman to date, in my opinion, and I'd choose the new Boxster over the new Cayman any day of the week!

I am not a fan of convertibles at all, but I think the boxster looks better, in all honesty, the boxster is probably the only convertible out there I would consider right now. I find it stunning.

I was just about to make a post that said I really need to see one in person, it looks short and fat in pictures.

Does anyone know if the new Cayman and (2013 version) new Boxster S also have the throttle-blip feature that the new 991 C4S has on manual transmission cars? I drove a new C4S Stick the other day and LOVED the feature. It made driving around town so much better: perfect throttle matching, smoother ride and transition. I'm seriously thinking about the new C4S but wouldn't mind going to a new Cayman S if it also had this feature as well.

^^ Chris Harris had tested the 981 Boxster MT a while back and there was no mention of rev-matching / electronic-throttle-blip feature. Not sure about the 2013 models of the same.
Did the 991 Carrera (MT) come with this electronic-throttle-blip / rev matching feature right from the stat of its production?

A few thoughts...
1. I love my Cayman R.....not sure about the 'new' Cayman's design though???
2. I LOVE the new Boxster - more than the new Cayman (so far)
3. For the money it would take to get the new Cayman S to where i would like it - i think a 997 GTS, GT3, or even a 991 would be my choice.
Sorry to say - but upon further review the new Cayman is dropping on my list

Yes, I am petty.
