A month after my last post in this thread and i am now torn between what i like more:

Cayman R + New Boxster S............or.............991 C2S

You love that cayman R and I would go for a boxster s if you want a cab. You can't beat the price!

 

Yea well see. Depends on how things go w a new property i am eyeing up w a two car garage. If i get it i will most likely do that two Porsches route - at least for a little - and it will (hopefully) be a Cayman R and a new Boxster S (black over red).

Question is --- do i go for the black top or the red top?

 

In my opinion - Cayman R + New Boxster S.

I test-drove the new Boxster S this week - it's an amazing car. It certainly made more of an impression on me than the 991 C2S did back in november. However, that's just me - and I do enjoy convertibles. Honestly, for the street - one does not need more car than the new Boxster S. While I love the 991 as well, I don't believe 't will provide the same enjoyment as having both a Cayman R and Boxster S. That said, I hate the Auto Start-Stop, the electronic steering and the electronic parking-brake in the new Porsche's.

Now go test-drive both the 981 and 991!

Agreed. I just test drove a 997.2 C4S today and what a beautiful car! PDK as well....I will say first impressions of PDK is that I liked it but wouldn't have it in a car unless it was a cayenne. There was not enough involvement for me. I felt like I had to really get on it to go anywhere and who knows what that will do to the PDK box....I know I don't wanna foot that bill. As far as black over red I say yes. Go for black top though red would be too much IMHO.
