so let me get this right, porsche is worried about diluting the brand by introducing a compact cross over instead of a sports car? talk about bad decision for porsche.
porsche used to be a sports car brand that was once exclusive. those days are long gone with profit taking.

I am happy with this decision. I understand as a business that they want to expand their customer base, but Porsche is situated nicely between being an exclusive brand and an accessible brand. You have to be successful to buy Porsche, but not overly so as you pretty much have to be to get to Ferrari/Lambo level.

I switched out to the GT3-RSR EPS a while back, and I can say with certainty that there is absolutely no noticeable difference to the hydraulic unit, except for the sound (which sounds space-age and awesome).

I'm still shocked that in 2012 people STILL aren't aware that if weren't for the Cayenne project, Porsche wouldn't be around. The Panamera (close your eyes if you don't wanna read this) is the MOST successful Porsche in Porsche history.
Tis what it is....But this announcement is a move in the right direction.
