Fifth Gear: Porsche Cayman R
#1
#6
True enough, they didn't say much; but I CAN say this.
Last week I drove the Cayman R, and a C4s, C2s, on a track, back to back; and HANDS DOWN, the Cayman R was the more fun car to drive, BY FAR.
The R felt faster in every respect, it handled like it was a go cart on rails; and the sound were glorious.
The 997's were amazing as well, so I do not want to take anything away from them; but they did feel like an M1 tank (I can say that, I was licensed to drive them, along with every armored vehicle in the American and Russian invetory's
). Outside of straight line acceleration, the R was the more exciting car.
For that matter... I also drove the Boxster Spyder, and it was more exciting on the tight stuff....
But I'll make a separate post on the subject...
