Sounds like fun, I may need to change my played wheels before I go though

Love the cayman R. Such an awsome car. Chris, you should definitely get one!! Cowl is probably doable...I vote for white with blue wheels, blue belts, and blue door pulls, along with blue deviate stitching, and white center console! Would look refreshing!!!

Dan - I'm not sure they'll let you deviate that much. Even PTS was a non-started for a while. I'm going to see Casey@TPC next week to discuss. I have some definite ideas if I do go full-custom, though I'm trying to avoid a $100K sticker on a Cayman (even an R).

If/when this looks like it'll happen, I'll make another thread with a poll for color/option choices...

Oh, agreed 100%. Youd prob have to do the wheels and belts and pulls yourself.

Let Mike turbo it as well!

...cmon man. Your car is INSANE and you know it! I just get a little tired of everyone and their brother always wanting black wheels on everything (not attacking anyone in this thread - just sayin)

I just did a pshop of a Singer 911 in GT Silver with black stripes and all of the chrome contrast painted black, and I think a Cayman R would look just as good with similar treatment!

GT Silver is one of my considerations if I don't do PTS. It's gorgeous in person and timeless to boot...

Porsche apparently won't do PTS in Gulf Blue otherwise I'd definitely do it (with Gulf blue stitching). I don't think I'd do the orange because I think it would get old after a while (probably black instead).

My wife had a great idea about the Boxster Spyder bumper and ducktail: own it for a year, and if I still love it, then do the other parts.

One last thing - if I don't do PTS, I could always do a Gulf Blue wrap... Lots of things to consider. Saturday can't come soon enough!!

shame that Porsche wont allow for a gulf blue, but a wrap is definitely a great idea...I think it will look great with the spyder bumper and ducktail-definitely a unique CR!
