Cayman R questions

I agree with most that the new Cayman R is not all it could be on the outside. Since a Cayman R is not off the table yet, I'm hoping you guys (vendors?) can point me in the right direction on a couple of questions:

1) Will the Boxster Spyder front bumper fit the Cayman R?

2) Will the Sport Classic ducktail fit the Cayman R (I'm guessing not)? If not the OEM SC one, then any good aftermarket ones (MA Shaw, etc.)?

I ask because if I get this car, I want it EXACTLY the way I would like it to look. I think a Boxster Spyder front end with a ducktail and a sticker delete would look awesome.

Thanks in advance for your answers. I'm hoping someone might have actually test-fit either of these components on a Cayman already.

1. Yep, would likely need some brackets/supports/ducting but yes.
2. Nope, I might recommend attepting to fix the wing that is on the back of a spyder(if you can purchase it seperately.

Been working on what you asked me by the way.

can't answer your questions but the idea of a ducktail on a small car like the cayman is kinda weird, just my 2 cents

...and this is why Chris from Cali and I are long overdue for meeting up and talking Porsches. I LOVE these ideas. A little ducktail style wing would look DOPE on the Cayman R....but as Casey suggested, so would a Spyder wing too? And the front end of the Spyder would be a cool mod for sure --- allow me to take it one step further Chris and suggest the TechArt LED's to replace the stock Spyder LED's (i am working on this now) as they are quite small.

Have you seen the white one posted on 6Speed? WOW that car looks good.

Chris I've been working with a cf mold specialist on getting a ducktail created, I'll post an update soon once we start test fitting.

I'm all about making a car look good, as long as those cosmetic enhancements don't detract from the car performance wise. Now, on a Cayman R the big performance enhancement is it weight. As far as I understand it, TechArt body panels all weigh more than stock. So on this car adding techart is a big no-no for me. Also, I've never really liked the look, but that's purely subjective, I know.

LOL, dude, what are the hell are you talking about?

The only time Techart was mentioned was regarding LEDs... which I don't think are heavy body panels.

dave-t is an unknown quantity at this point
I always thought that the spoiler on the back of our cayman was to low when not up. I would love to see the current spoiler gone and the position where the spoiler is leveled off and a less aggressive ducktail in the middle or lower portion of the rear hatch where it is on the Carrera Classic. If someone could photoshop one in I bet it would look sweet.
