Intercontinental Trophy Cup Team News - Isringhausen Adds Second Car

Indianapolis, Feb 23, 2011: Officials of the Intercontinental Trophy Cup (ITC) Series are pleased announce that Isringhausen Imports will field a two-car team in the series starting with the first race at New Jersey Motorsport Park in April. The Springfield, Illinois Porsche dealer will have Skip Cloar competing the full season in his 2009 Porsche CaymanS in ITC P1 alongside Geoff Isringhausen in his 2007 CaymanS P2 car. Cloar joins Geoff Isringhausen coming over from the Cayman Interseries with a car prepared by Isringhausen Motorsport.

Cloar, a native of Louisville, Kentucky has been racing since 1990 when he joined with good friends Rob Isringhausen and Jon Stoll at Isringhausen Imports for the original Porsche Driving Experience.

"The chief instructor at the time was Derek Bell, and he took me in a brand new Turbo and showed me where I was going wrong", commented Cloar. "It was a very valuable learning experience from one of my favorite drivers. I have been able to carry forward everything I learned that day which makes racing in a competitive series such a thrill."
Since then, Cloar has participated in numerous Driving Experience events, become instructor with the Porsche Club of America (PCA) and started racing the Cayman S in the Historic Sportscar Racing series (HSR). He has also done National Auto Sport Association (NASA) time trials in a Stohr sports racer.

"I am looking forward to competing in the Intercontinental Trophy Cup series alongside Geoff (Isringhausen)", stated Cloar. "I will have an opportunity to visit some of my favorite tracks as well, like VIR and Mid-Ohio – tracks with elevation changes that are technical, but also get to race at some new tracks as well." He continued, "I can't wait for the season to get started and to have a shot at winning some races in the ITC program." the Intercontinental Trophy Cup season starts with an official test day ate Virginia International Raceway (VIR) on March 24th. Racing gets underway April 15 with the first event at New Jersey Motorsport Park. For more details and a complete schedule, please visit www.trophycupracing.com
