Based on the picture, it's prob not going to be considered Totalled. Unless Porsche is going to charge 15k+ for the windshield, front bumper + fenders + hood replacement. Since the car is so new, there prob is a nice chance that they would consider it Totalled if your coverage is high enough though.

Anyways, you are okay and that's all what matters.

Good thing you are ok. Make sure you don't skip going to the doc for ANY reason if you get sore in the next couple days. You can do your car repair / total deal completely separate from your health claim. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

I agree, it doesn't look like a total loss. However do your research and make sure to find a body shop that will fight hard for you to get compensated for the loss of dollars to resell a fixed car. It is a bitch to fight and some Insurance companies will fight you tooth and nail, but you can win. Say your car with no damage is worth $50k but with a bad car fax is worth only $43, you should be able to justify that and get an extra $7k at the time of the claim. Do not sign anything until you are 100% happy with the claim. The ball is in your court, but the insurance company will make you feel otherwise.

So sorry dude, but this could be just the beginning of a long fight. Shoot for a total, make sure your shop is good with chassis's and get them to nitpick EVERYTHING.

Where are you located by the way? Last thing, YOU choose the shop to do the work, not the insurance company. If they happen to be the same shop, good for you it might go faster. But it is your right to have anyone you want to work on your car.

My guess is repairable. Extremely glad to hear you are OK and hope the other driver is the same. Hope to see you rolling a repaired Spyder or a new one soon!!

The amazing thing is that your beverage stayed in the cup holder, now that is German engineering!
