Sub'd. Can't to wait to see the progress of this beast! I think it's great what you and many other Cayman owners are doing with your cars. If Porsche (due to the 911)doesn't want to give these cars the added (boost whether it be bigger engines or turbos) they deserve, then doing it yourself is the next best thing. Best of luck on the build!

interesting! Yes the tranny and room for the dry slump system are the spanners! you would definitely have the right number of forward and backwards gears... and a stronger and better gearbox... but It'd be interesting in everything involved mounting a flipped box... off the top of my head... half-shaft lengths maybe, fluid draining, vents, and lubrication, tranny mounts, muffler mount would be off... but I guess you could just flip the inside of the tranny and leave the housing the same... jk, or build a new housing! Anyways, GOOD LUCK!!! we are all looking forward to it!

actually I may pick up a beck and put the engine and tranny into that. for now though, the engine & tranny (which has a drexler lsd) is for sale.

So you are adding the dry sump? It will be interesting to see how you find the space. Many good cheers to you on this exciting project!.
Yes, many of us have waited in vain for Porsche to build such a car. Thankfully, TPC Racing did their great turbo kit for the Cayman S. But you are indeed doing it the way that Porsche should have done it for all of us.
And you will definitely need larger rubber on your car. Tire size is a considerable limitation to setting up a hi horsepower Cayman for the track.
