Cayman Spare Tire Kit

I know.........I work at a dealer, and I'm supposed to have all of the answers. But I can't find any info on this, so I thought I would ask. Has anyone seen this as a factory installed kit? We found some part numbers, found some weird straps.......and they fit comfortably in this spot. I'm guessing this is an option in Europe, let me know anyone has seen this option?

LoL

Nope, won't make it faster. But probably safer, especially on a road trip.

The only info I can find is that one is available as part # 996 362 020 04. (from what I've read this is for 987's, despite part number starting with 996). Hopefully, this can give you a start on your search.

My only question would be is, if you did end up having to use one of these on the rears, where do you put the big,fat flat? Don't think there's enough room in the front or the rear.

The spare comes with a baggy. You have to leave your passenger on the side of the road and bring your expensive wheel home.

If your cayman gets a flat in the middle of the desert, then yes, it makes your Cayman significantly faster
