How Long Do You Own Your Cars?

How long have you owned a car ???

Mr. Allen Swift ( Springfield , MA.) received this 1928 Rolls-Royce Picadilly P1 Roadster from his father, brand new - as a graduation gift in 1928. He drove it up until his death last year.....at the age of 102 !!!
He was the oldest living owner of a car from new. Just thought you'd like to see it. He donated it to a Springfield museum after his death.
It has 170,000 miles on it, still runs like a Swiss watch, dead silent at any speed and is in perfect cosmetic condition. (82 years) ...That's approximately 2000 miles per year...PM
Just thought you would find this of interest....

Sorry if it's a repost.

That's very impressive and a very cool car as well.

I usually get a different car every year or year and a half. Trying to keep my current car for a lot longer than that.

I still have my first car... errrr truck, that I've owned for the past 7 or 8 years. The only way I'll get rid of it is if it somehow catches fire and burns until there is nothing left.

I'm starting to have the same feeling for my Crossfire. I've only had it for 9 months but I love it even more now than I did when I bought it.

Extremely impressive on many levels. Recieving a car, let alone- a RR for a Grad gift in 1928, keeping the car that long, and living that long...

wow.

edit: that guy has led an interesting life, for sure.
