Do you love your RR Supercharged?
Hi -
Was in a friends RR the other day and found it to be a most comfortable and capable vehicle.
I'm currently driving a G55 AMG daily, and after being in this RR, I find myself looking to head to the Land Rover dealership more and more.
When I bought the G last year, my intention was to keep the car at least 5 years - that at least here in the US it doesnt make sense to lease cars anymore.
Are you happy with your Range Rover, Supercharged?
Any mechanical/oil-leak, transmission, electronic or other issues in the first few years of ownership?
Do you think a Range Supercharged will last 5, 7, 10 years?
My buddy gets a new Range every two years. He claims that the cars get really loose and loose their tight steering feel after about 35,000 miles. Do you agree?
The G55, I've driven 10 year old G wagens, and these things are basically indestructable and drive like the first day off the lot.
So - advice on the new FullSize RR Supercharged is greatly welcomed and apprecaited.
Best regards,
asg

G wagon cannot even be compared realistically to the new rr. I do not own a rr but have driven thousands of miles in one and it is the best suv out. The size, comfort and presence are top of the line. The layout of the interior is excellent and everything is of high quality. This does not compare to the outdated tech that is at least a decade old in the g. I admit the g is cool and if you like it for the unique look then it isn't bad. I cannot comment on the mech of a new one at 30 k bc they just came out. The new tech, cameras and lcd dash are incredible.
Go for the rr for sure

having owned a LR, i can say what others commonly say: they run the best when theyre on a flat bed...
regarding the RRSC, a girl friend of mine has been stranded in one 3 times in the past couple months.
if you have other cars and someone to take care of them and drive them to the shop, why not buy one today?

Yes it is - and it works each and every day!
Tractors do have some very positive qualities if you really think about it.
THanks for the replies gents -
I'm not really looking for what you think looks better, its more of a reliability issue. Last RR I owned was a 1998 4.0SE. To slow, way too slow. New models are much nicer appointed and are really in a luxury class by themselves.
The G is a bit outdated - like an early 2000's E class interior - however, it works and works well.
Obviously the RR still has mechanical and other reliability issues - the G is a tank. I'll be driving that G 20 years from now, and the RRSC will be dead and burried I guess....
So much for that tightness when driving in 5 years time :-)

I was considering the new RRSC before I bought my car.
The owner of a dealership is a good friend of mine, and he told me that it's a great second or third car, as long as you don't intend to put over 10K a year on it. He said it is light-years better than previous gen's, but it still will definitely have some problems and require maint.
If you are getting one, definitely get the 2011 instead of the 2010. Huge huge huuuuuuuge difference.

Love our RR, been through two and reliability hasn't been an issue, despite this, i would never hold one more than three years, once that warranty is gone, tread carefully... Facelifted G should be revealed in october potentially with the 6.3 engine, which should be interesting...
