Why shouldn't I buy a Bentley Arnage?

Lots! Never had a SLR, McLaren F1, Zonda, Enzo, MC12, Veyron etc. Our taxes are !%#@%!#$@%@! (still not as bad as Denmark, but almost there). If we has US car prices, I'd have all the above right now
Jox speaks the truth! For a change....what's going on?!
Don't worry Jox, when there is a will - there is a way

Mike hasn't owned any real high end cars. No Enzo, no Zonda. He's supposedly got a Carrera GT with gauges still wrapped in plastic, but the government doesn't even allow him to drive it - sort of like being married to Heidi Klum without the benefit of the secks. All you get is the nagging. So in reality he doesn't have a Carrera GT any more than I do.

Jox they are fantastic cars, fun to drive, exquisitely crafted... But the quality kind of stops at the body work and interior... The electronics/maintenance may wear on you. Especially in comparison to the Audis/BMWs you have owned.

One reason why shouldn't do it is the exact same reason why you can do it: They're cheap. Which means that you run the risk of buying a luxury car whose target demographic is shifting from crusty, old yacht club members to a younger, more "urban" crowd. Basically, you'll be car-buddies with people who like Louis V-interior refits, white streetwear and six-pound wristwatches with fake diamonds on them.
Zorro documented this problem elsewhere:

But, if you're stylish enough to wear this car and not look like you own a discount auto paint shop, go for it. I think they're awesome, in an old-fashioned and arrogant way.

We could use a few more car guys in the Pacific NW. Tons of land available here to build yourself a 100 car garage... Come on down!

What are you saying exactly? I should change my name to Biff, marry someone called Muffy, go buy a collection of Ralph Lauren cashmere shirts in loud colors and move closer to the country club?

Yeah, basically. Also remember to wear sweaters over your shoulders, and be slightly inebriated all the time.
