The second worst selling car in MB history is the SLR - crazy huh?
Interesting - Wonder how the Black Series is doing - SL/CLK

The 57S is my favorite. You guys would giggle like school girls when you realize that a Mayback will do 0-60 in under 5 seconds with all that weight.

Sounds like a cross between a frieght train and a jet when taking off. And the interior is very very nice. The best being a Brown Metallic with brown interior that we sold to a client. Gorgeous!

I think the trouble with the Maybach is the competition.

Many equate the Maybach with a Bentley or a Rolls Royce and would rather spend their money on those brands.

I don't doubt that the cars are kick-ass and luxurious. But for some reason, they just don't sell.

Your right really. they are more expensive than both the Bentley and roller yet have no presence and no real brand. Most think its just a big merc. this was always why i liked the car to be honest. trouble is the technology inside the cars was so quickly bettered by the S Class its a joke. Mabach still, 8 years later have not updated the car with anything worthwile.

Still its as quiet as a wisper and more comfy than anything else out there.

+1, only if they update the interior by a little bit and put advanced stuffs in there like the new S class. The car itself is a great driving machine though. I believe they even claim that its engine is as least as powerful as a F430.

Why would anyone buy this over a Phantom?

They looks cool but I'd rather have the phantom. (for the record I've never been in either)
