2006 Bentley CGT hot-start and wiper skipping problem

Any other users experience/fix these problems and how:

1- Driver side wiper blade is smooth until about 5 minutes of constant rain. Then it begins to chatter and skip both on the upswing and down... but only at the slow wiper speed, not the fast wiper speed. I have had them changed 2 times at dealership and thoroughly cleaned windshield with lighter fluid, clay bar, etc etc. If I spray the windshield with the washer jets while raining it smooths out for about 5 minutes then becomes skipping again.

2- Hot start issue is tricky. After driving for 15+ minutes when the engine is nice and hot (200 temp) I will park it (sunny day, cold garage, night time outside, doesn't matter where). If I attempt to start the engine again within 30min to 1.5 hours, randomly (about 20% of the time) it will stutter and shake for the first 8 seconds and then smooth out. If I try and give it gas nothing happens, I have to wait for it to smooth out. If I shut the car off and then immediatly restart it it is smooth as silk. I have had the tech run diagnostics and it isn't engine misfires as no codes are stored. There is a funny clunking noise that the tech identified as "heater valve opening closing on firewall" but checked it and said it was doing it's job. Cold starts are perfect. I have been through 10 different tanks of gas from different vendors as well as 2 Chevron Techron additives... no change. Always 93 octane. Spark plugs changed and distributer caps upgraded to new model. No change. Tech did find a loose grounding wire from the engine which he cleaned and tightened and the issue has been 50% of original description but still exists.

Try Rain-X to solve the first problem. Otherwise, it sounds like you're trying to run the wipers when there isn't enough water on the windshield.

As for the hot-start issue, it could be a lot of things. Perhaps air in the cooling system are keeping it from cooling down properly? Might want to get your radiator cap checked or add some coolant.
